Wed 29th September....

Well what can I say really, Wednesday was set to be a busy rad day at the slope with lot's going on, what happens.... we all awake to the worst wind and rain we have had in a while, boo to you weather gods!! We don't mind the rain so much as it makes the slope nice and fast but it's the wind, oh don't get me started on the wind.

We saw RGU and Aberdeen Universities in for their annual meet and greet, racking up new members for their snowsports clubs with some ski and snowboard taster sessions being ran and an open session for those who already have the skillz to come down and shred. The weather didn't seem to put a dampener on their spirits and considering the conditions a pretty good turn out was had. Let's hope to see the students back as a regular appearance at the slope.

Following the day time antics of the students the night was for the Burton and Forum board test, unfortunately we had a poor turn out and I'm going to put this down to the weather putting people off the bunch of wuss's as by 7 o'clock the wind had died down and the conditions were pretty good.

Simon was down from Boarderline helping out the rep guy from Burton, with a steady flow of people testing out the boards and bindings on offer. Andy Duthie was the most stoked on testing out Burtons boards and was killing it it was non stop for him he had that adrenaline running through him all night and doing the cleanest 5 we've seen him do on return to the slope then thought why not I'll go for 7's and came pretty close on some and a front flip, wowzers.

Nicol, Chris Mahony, Emmet and Natalie were there representing the Boarderline snow team with Ben Kinnear still away and Barry P down in Glasgow doing his level 1 ski instructor course, they were both missed.

Overall all despite the turn out and the weather a pretty rad session was had, Fin and Keilan Bremner killing it and all the others doing some sick moves while testing out the boards and bindings, let's hope they come back next year.
